Withdrawal & Refunds

Dictara's Offline Edition is currently free during Early Access. There is no payment, no credit and no subscription — and therefore nothing to refund. You can download, use and uninstall Dictara at any time at no cost.
1. Early Access is free
While Dictara is in Early Access it is provided free of charge. Because no money changes hands, there is no purchase to withdraw from and no balance to be reimbursed. If you no longer wish to use Dictara, simply stop using it or remove it from your Mac.
2. Future paid one-time licence
If and when a paid one-time licence is introduced, the following will apply to consumers in the EU. We will update this page with the exact terms before any purchase becomes possible.
3. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
As a consumer in the EU, you will have the statutory right to withdraw from the purchase of a digital product within fourteen days, without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the contract is concluded.

by means of a clear statement (for example, an email) of your decision to withdraw from the contract. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.
If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal, using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction. You will not be charged any fees for this reimbursement.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal
Dictara is a digital product supplied without a physical medium (a download). Under EU law, your right of withdrawal expires before the end of the fourteen-day period if, at checkout, you
- expressly consent to us beginning the supply / download before the withdrawal period has ended, and
- confirm your awareness that, by giving this consent, you lose your right of withdrawal once the supply begins.
We will obtain this consent and confirmation separately at the time of purchase. If you do not give it, your full fourteen-day right of withdrawal remains intact until the period ends.
4. How to request a refund (once relevant)
Once a paid licence exists, to withdraw or request a refund simply email dictara@dictara.ai with your proof of purchase and, where applicable, your device ID (available in the app via “Copy device ID”). We will confirm receipt and process any eligible refund as set out above.
